Marine Mattei – Spin + Yoga Instructor
A lifelong athlete, Marnie has found the combination of indoor cycling and yoga, with occasional light weightlifting sessions, to be the perfect mix of cardio, strength, and flexibility training, without creating the kind of muscle tension and potential injuries that high-impact forms of exercise can (running, heavy weight-lifting, etc.) The life-changing experience she had after adding the practice of yoga into her exercise routine has inspired her to pay it forward. Before finding cycling and yoga she suffered from severe neck and back tension. Upon the advice of her massage therapist and trainer, she reluctantly tried yoga again after many years. To her surprise, she found yoga to be very physically and mentally challenging, and it resolved her neck pain! What she loves about yoga is that it is non-competitive, healing and—best of all—a judgment-free zone! She enjoys instructing both new and advanced students and strives to make the class accessible to everyone. Passionate about music, she loves creating playlists and is always open to requests! Her favorite class to teach at Curl is the indoor cycling and yoga combo class—30 minutes each, one hour total. She recommends challenging your body, but also treating it with love and acceptance. It is her belief that indoor cycling and yoga do just that.
